We’ve all tried that natural alternative method for solving a problem. Something for headaches, or back pain maybe. Perhaps, something to help us sleep better. After taking it for a some time it just didn’t seem to work. Why? This is the question we will address today. A question that is very important for each of us to consider. It’s puzzling why some solutions work for some people and not for others.
There are three main reasons why natural solutions don’t work for all people. Let’s address them.
1. Bad Quality
Some natural supplements are not good quality. Some ingredients are just plain junk. There are so many products out there that contain all kinds of artificial colors, artificial flavors, fillers, high fructose corn syrup, maltodextrin and more. These ingredients are garbage. Now, there might be some high-quality ingredients that benefit your body. But those junk ingredients will surely negate the positive effects of the good ingredients. It could even make things worse for you. Therefore, you should look at the research and follow the advice of doctors that teach true health principles.
When analyzing a product, look for good wholesome ingredients. Ingredients that are wholesome could be things like: fruit extracts, vegetable extracts, turmeric, prebiotics, probiotics, phytobiotics, and more.
Be sure and drink plenty of water. This will help flush out the bad stuff and help the good stuff be more effective.
Make sure that your Gut is healthy. It is very hard for your body to use the nutrients you are giving it if your gut can’t take them in and utilize them. Gut Health is a key for all other types of natural products to work. (We focus heavily on gut health for this reason. There are so many good products out there, but if you can’t assimilate them then it isn’t nearly as effective. I have a link at the end of this article that will guide you to what I take that helps me have optimal Gut Health. Having good gut health helps the supplements I take and the foods I eat benefit me more fully.)
2. Your Belief
We have all heard of the placebo effect. Where someone is told they are taking a medicine to help them, and they aren’t taking a medicine at all. Their own thinking is what helped them. Not the medicine. Now, I personally believe that there are many sides to health. We cannot have positive thoughts and eat garbage sugary food, and drink soda and energy drinks all day long and be healthy. (This doesn’t mean we can’t have an occasional treat. But we should certainly eat more healthy food and less processed junk food.) We need a balanced approach to all thing’s health.
You must believe in the solution you are trying. If you are taking a natural supplement and keep thinking “this is crap”, “This isn’t going to work”, “This won’t work for ME”, and other negative things like this it will lessen its effectiveness. You must believe it is going to work. If you believe it is going to work, you are going to put yourself in an environment more favorable for it to work. For example, if you are taking this new supplement with the belief it is going to work you will more likely exercise, eat better, drink water, sleep more, etc. Thus, helping you be more all around healthy and boosting the effectiveness of your supplement.
3. Sufficient Time
Think about a plant in a garden. It takes weeks or months for that plant to grow. It also takes mere seconds to destroy that plant. Our bodies are the same way. It can take time for our health to develop. On the flip side, we can also destroy our health very quickly.
We should be aware of this and be nice to our bodies. Let’s give them time to improve. Let’s give them the proper environment to succeed. Let’s give them the time they need to improve.
Think back over your life. Think about the good health practices and the bad health practices you have had. This is something I have done a few times. I had bad gut health for about 20 years. It caused me to have stomach issues, anxiety and brain fog. Eventually, I found some supplements to help with my gut issues. I tried for a few days and my issues weren’t completely gone. After a month they weren’t completely gone. Was I improved? Yes. Was I majorly improved? Absolutely.
It’s been over a year and a half (at the time of this writing) that I have been taking these supplements. Every week my overall health improves.
Now, I had been neglecting or unintentionally harming my gut health for 20 years. Yes, 20 years. So why should I think that my gut, that I’ve messed up and neglected for 20 years, be fixed in a few short days, or even weeks. It takes time to fix and improve your health.
As you continue to improve your health and wellness, remember to give your body time to heal. Believe, be patient, and make sure that what you’re taking is high quality.
